City of Centralia Seasonal Plant Mechanical Assistant - Yelm in Yelm, Washington

Date Open: June 28, 2024 Date Closes: Until Filled, (Applications reviewed each week) Department: City Light - Yelm Wage: $25.39 -- $29.45/hr (Table T, Range 14) Work Days: Monday -- Friday Hours: Various shifts between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM -- Not to exceed 40 hours per week to assist Operational maintenance Status: Sick leave eligible, non-benefited, non-exempt Duration of Position: July through October

GENERAL FUNCTION: Performs and assists with maintenance and repairs on hydroelectric plant equipment and projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years old or older.

Plant mechanical knowledge or experience working in a plant mechanical field preferred but not required.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION: The employee must have a valid Washington State Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City and the City's insurance carrier.
