Your day may include: Originating first mortgage loans and equity loans Pricing and disclosing rates and fees via required disclosures in compliance with Federal Regulations Actively seeking new mortgage business through internal and external referral sources Submitting upfront quality loan packages according to standardized expectations Communicating consistently with all parties to the transaction as well as back-office staff to ensure the timely closing of all loans in individual pipeline Ensuring the highest standard of quality service by meeting members' expectations in regards to responsiveness, dependability and individual attention to mortgage needs Meeting with external referral sources to prospect new business and increase brand awareness in assigned region Attending all sales meetings, trainings, and corporate functions as assigned Actively participating in WSECU's mortgage campaigns or advertising as needed Engaging in day-to-day activities of the Mortgage Origination Team Developing and executing Individual Marketing Plans to ensure sales goals are met Maintaining knowledge of mortgage loan competition and industry best practices and recommending process improvements where appropriate What you bring to the team: Three (3) years of demonstrated success in a mortgage loan origination experience, including familiarity with FHA/VA requirements Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, above average computer skills and ability to work on multiple software systems Excellent conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to provide clear explanations of complicated mortgage industry processes, rates, practices and laws Ability to calculate ratios, interest rates, loan payments and percentages Bonus Points if you have: College degree in Business or closely related field Experience in condos, jumbos, mobile homes and construction loans Good project management skills Competitive pay: $17.31 per hour plus commission base plan The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position. The target range for qualified new hires is typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account. Where we're located: Position covers WSECU Branches in the Yakima area. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite two (2) occasions per week. When you'd work: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm with Saturdays hours as needed.
