Yakima Valley Conference of Governments GIS Analyst/Application Developer in YAKIMA, Washington
ABOUT THE GIS ANALYST/APPLICATION DEVELOPER POSITION The Yakima Valley COG is a small group of highly professional and dedicated staff committed to making a difference in the Yakima Valley Region. The primary focus of the GIS Analyst/Application Developer position will be to support programs with expertise in the development and maintenance of maps, dashboards, and data. GIS responsibilities include analyzing, planning, organizing and managing databases; writing and maintaining application programs; and creating maps, graphs, charts, and/or web-based applications and interfaces used in meeting the needs of the YVCOG/YVLCL (Yakima Valley Local Crime Lab) programs. They will create maps, dashboards, and applications, write code, test efficiency, and maintain orderly GIS databases. Additional responsibilities include designing and developing computer applications based on user requirements, designing software solutions, and writing code that is efficient, scalable, and reliable. This is an onsite position located in the Yakima Valley in Washington State.
