ABOUT THE FINANCE & PROGRAM FINANCE MANAGER POSITION The primary focus for the current position is to supervise finance staff, develop, and implement internal control policies and procedures for use of public funds.

The Finance Manager will possess knowledge of principles and practices of federal, state, and local grants, internal and external controls, auditing practices, RFP processes, awarding contracts with public funds, policies, and procedures. This employee must be able to understand and interpret Codes of Federal Regulations, Codes of Washington, and Washington Administrative Codes while working directly with staff and programs administered by YVCOG. Managing risk and ensuring Finance with laws and regulations by working with funders for clarity related to eligible uses for individual grants will determine the success of this position.

The Finance Manager must be objective, fair, and non-biased. This person must be able to hold persons accountable to the high standards of ethics expected when administering public funds. A person with high morals and values to serve the Yakima Valley Region is encouraged to apply.
