How You'll Perform the Role The Customer Service Manager directs and manages the performance of the Customer Service department by leading and motivating the individuals within the department to be responsive, effective, professional, and knowledgeable. The Customer Service team manages assigned customer accounts from entry to delivery (order to cash), and works hard to effectively develop relationships with customers, sales, and manufacturing personnel through excellent service and regular communication. Lead a team of CSR's, driving process improvements and standardization with a focus on order to cash activities. Develop written Standard Operating Procedures and training documentation. Coach and develop the team to be self-sufficient, providing training opportunities to help them grow professionally. Lead by example, acting as "Voice of the Customer" for all order to cash activities. Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to drive accurate information flow which can be used to keep our customers updated as needed. Actively work with other departments to ensure company goals are achieved while meeting the expectations of the customers. Facilitate new customer and material setup processes which includes coordinating data input from Sales, S&OP, and Operations to provide quick and accurate information to the Master Data team. Participate in cross-functional projects, which could include leading a cross-functional team when needed. Understand operational lead-times and drive effective communication plans in coordination with Sales as lead-times change. What We Need From You 4-year B.S. or B.A. degree. 5+ years of experience including some managerial, team lead, or project management experience within a customer service function. SAP experience or other MRP related experience required. Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills Ability to listen well, comprehend and analyze situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop effective working relationships within all areas of the company.
