This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedication and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, engineers, you will lead the integration of the avionics systems on reusable launch vehicle elements for various spaceflight systems. This role will share in the team's impact on all aspects of developing and fielding a recoverable fairing that supports the New Glenn vehicle. As the system lead, you will be directly responsible for driving the design and integration for the system, while working multi-functionally with our stellar teams of propulsion, structures, ordnance, electrical, systems, navigation and software developers that are crafting the hardware/software. Critical responsibilities include design teams (in and out of avionics) to establish requirements, defining interfaces, and conducting system level trades. We are looking for someone to apply their design, integration and systems engineering experience and leadership skills to positively impact safe human spaceflight. This Position Requires Relocation to Seattle, WA Relocation Package Included Qualifications: BS in aerospace, electrical, or computer engineering Proven track record of technical and/or project management on complex aerospace system developments 4+ years of experience with avionics integration on orbital launch vehicles Experience with requirements development, verification, and tracking Experience with evaluating fault tolerance and reliability of complex electronics, aerospace, or safety critical systems Strong analytical and system modeling skills for evaluating and selecting optimal system configurations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: Post-graduate degree in an appropriate engineering field 7+ years of experience with avionics integration on orbital launch vehicles Direct, hands on, experience with the development and qualification of avionics hardware Experience with RF systems and analysis Experience with integration of ordnance components Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS Experience with some or all the following: GPS and inertial navigation systems, computing/processing system development, networking, power conditioning and distribution, instrumentation, and valve/motor control Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $167,088---$233,923.20 USD Inclusivity Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
