The General Manager is fully responsible for the activities and performance results of the assigned location(s). This is the most senior member of a plant leadership team, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. The GM is responsible for overseeing daily business activities, budgeting, improving business processes and results, management of personnel, implementation of policies, compliance with regulatory and industry standards and Company policies, and communication within the location. Manages the day-to-day operations at assigned location(s), responsible for all functions and metrics including financial performance and customer scorecards Ensures business sustainability and growth by executing strategic initiatives and delivering quality products; develops business strategy in collaboration with the corporate executive team Manages customer satisfaction as measured by customer scorecards and contract compliance; oversees Program Management function to deliver on customer contracts Through department managers, oversees the selection, development, and management of all employees at assigned location(s); responsible for compliance with federal, state, and other regulations regarding equal opportunity employment, affirmative action, employee safety & health, environmental protection, and other applicable standards Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and permit & reporting requirements; oversees audits and organizes corrective and preventive actions as appropriate Supported by the Manager of Quality and other site leaders, ensures AS9100 certification for the assigned location(s); oversees corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives Develops and manages annual operating and capital budgets, provides commentary regarding variances and associated corrective actions In partnership with the site Controller, ensures timely & accurate delivery of monthly closing, quarterly and annual reporting, audit, and tax activities; ensures ad-hoc financial reporting requests are met Sets an example for integrity, communication, and compliance; mentors Managers, Supervisors, and other employees to develop professional skills and business acumen; encourages a culture of safety, quality, and accountability Required Education and Work Experience A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or other relevant discipline is required; MBA or similar advanced degree is advantageous Specialized training in quality management, engineering, and/or continuous improvement is preferred A minimum of ten (10) years in progressively responsible leadership positions in manufacturing is required A minimum of five (5) years in leadership within the aerospace industry is required Other Required Skills and Abilities Financial acumen to include budgeting and capital budgeting, comprehensive understanding of management financial reporting Broad knowledge of AS9100 requirements, aerospace industry standards and specifications, quality management systems, CNC programming/machining, and assembly operations is expected; knowledge of metal finishing to include paint and/or processing may be required Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining and associated processes; experience with Continuous Improvement Methods and Processes is preferred Comprehensive supply chain knowledge; negotiation and procurement best practices, vendor management, and inventory control is required; broad understanding of ITAR and export compliance is required Experience writing technical business policies,
