Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Overview Reports to: Facilities Maintenance Technician Reports to: Maintenance & Vendor Manager Location: Kent, WA Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt (hourly) Schedule: 1st Shift; Mon-Fri (or Tues-Sat. if schedule allows) 10:00am - 6:30pm may be open to 4/10\'s. Overtime may be required (extended shifts and/or weekends); On-call is Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) Job Summary Employees in this position are responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to, predictive and proactive maintenance systems and processes to support the company\'s business goals and production and facility maintenance equipment. Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of duties in multiple disciplines (i.e. Electrical, PLC, plumbing, etc.) install and maintain plant facility and production equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to quickly restore production capability. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities - to design, build and repair. Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair. Read and properly interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service. In addition, be involved in Kaizen events as needed as either a participant or supporter. Build racks using appropriate metal for processing parts through chemical tanks. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. Qualifications Ability to diagnose and research problems, brainstorm and develop potential solutions, test, make adjustments and successfully solve the problem. Must be able to document fixes/repairs on CMMS software to allow effective communication for future failures/PMs. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently; self-driven. Must be an excellent communicator. Excellent organizational skills. Requires a goal-oriented person who has the ability to meet company/departmental goals and to adhere to company/departmental policies and procedures. Ability to get along with coworkers, management, and deal effectively and professionally under pressure. Work successfully with different personalities and individuals with varying abilities and be able to communicate effectively with employees from all levels of the organization. Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Excellent responsiveness and internal customer focus. Must be dependable and able to maintain good attendance track record. Read/Write/Communicate in English Excellent accuracy with a strong attention to detail and demonstrated teamwork attitude.
