The Shipping Clerk (Graveyard) is responsible for organizing and processing the movement of goods during overnight hours to ensure accurate order fulfillment. This role involves preparing packing materials, labeling packages, and verifying shipment contents against orders. The Shipping Clerk maintains accurate records of inventory and shipping activities, monitors stock levels, and ensures compliance with safety standards. Working independently with minimal supervision, this position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Due to the graveyard shift, the role also demands flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to meeting deadlines during the overnight hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
· Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
· Prepare documents, such as shipping log, forklift/pallet jack inspection form, inventory logs, etc.
· Pack, seal, and/or label, to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools/equipment, and/or computer and printer.
· Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
· Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, expired products, or nonconformance to specifications.
· Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using front office, computer, or price list.
· Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
· May operate equipment, including but not limited to forklift or pallet jack, in unloading, moving or storing boxed beef inventory as required.
· Verify shipment inventory.
· Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
