Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Class A CDL Driver to join our team. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to and from various locations. This is a crucial role within our organization, as you will be the face of our company on the road.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Load and unload goods and materials using proper equipment and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Plan and organize daily routes to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers
- Complete required paperwork, such as delivery reports and logbooks, accurately and in a timely manner
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and provide updates on status
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding customer service, safety, and quality assurance
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle
- Ability to safely operate various types of vehicles, such as tractor-trailers, tanker trucks, and flatbeds
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations and requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
