Job Description Location Profile: Now part of PCC's Aerostructures Division, University Swaging is a unique machining, swaging, and assembly center providing the industry's most technologically advanced structural and kinematic control rod assemblies, flight control mechanisms, and swaged cable assemblies. Founded in 1947, the company was purchased by Primus in 2000, and before the close of the decade, expanded more than twofold into a new 110,000 square foot facility. Position Summary: Performs assigned work and directs and monitors inspection duties of at least one inspector of a lower rating to independently use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to perform in-process and completed inspections of products such as machine parts, mechanical assemblies, purchased standard hardware, and the inspections of applied protective coatings. Uses various measuring devices to perform required inspections and accepts or rejects malfunctioning or non-conforming units or systems. Works from blueprints, digital models, diagrams, or other customer specifications and uses inspection instruments and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
