Job Title: Procurement AdministratorJob Description

Provides administrative and procurement support to the Construction Division. Organizes and completes assigned work activities by deadlines while providing effective customer service to internal and external coworkers and vendors. Conducts work by building strong working relationships through collaboration and communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Procure and monitor assigned parts, ensuring accurate inventory tracking against demand to maintain availability for production.

  • Optimize production by organizing material flow.

  • Gather non-exempt employee timecards and ensure accurate and timely entry of all hours into the database.

  • Assist Buyer/Planners in analyzing quotes and assembling quote packages, ensuring competitive pricing and completeness.

  • Provide backup support to Buyer/Planners on scheduling tasks.

  • Share responsibility for ordering from domestic (common) suppliers as part of a team.

  • Manage orders for timely delivery and cost efficiency.

  • Provide support for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) purchasing, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies for the manufacturing floor.

  • Support and follow company objectives and safety policies.

Work Environment

The position will be entirely office-based, supporting the procurement team. The office is practical and ideal for someone looking to transition from a shop environment to an office setting. The target start date is early April, allowing for three weeks of training before the current employee's maternity leave. The work environment is not glamorous but is functional and supportive. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $25.50/hr.
