Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Perform general labor to support the shipping and receiving department, including preparing, manually moving, and organizing materials, supplies, and finished products. Provide backup paint support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Receive written information or oral instructions for performing work assignments.

  • Learn to identify typical parts, materials, and finished products to assist with moving such items within the shop or outside in the laydown yard.

  • Keep storage or work areas and specific pieces of equipment clean and organized.

  • Prepare product for shipment by labeling products with identifying information and banding finished products.

  • Move products to and from storage, paint booth, production areas, loading docks, or delivery vehicles using appropriate methods such as by hand, hand truck, forklift, lift truck, hoists, crane, or other equipment.

  • Use spray gun in paint booth to paint attachments and parts for heavy equipment.

  • Load shipments efficiently.

Essential Skills

  • General labor experience

  • 1+ year of experience in shipping

  • 1+ year of forklift operation

  • 1+ year of riding pallet jack operation

  • Basic computer skills

  • Spreadsheet proficiency

  • Basic math and reading skills

  • Warehouse forklift operation

  • Paint booth experience

  • Painting, paint preparation, and paint gun operation

  • Paint manufacturing knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to stand and walk for 2/3 of the shift

  • Ability to sit for 1/3 of the shift

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

Work is performed in a shop environment that is not climate controlled. Material handling and forklift duties occur indoors half the time and outdoors half the time in all weather conditions. Part-time backup painter duties in the paint department expose employees to paint fumes and particles. Exposure to heat, noise, dust, and fumes will occur. This is a full-time position with shift hours from Monday-Thursday 7am-4:30pm and Friday from 7am-11am. Overtime may be required depending on production demands.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodinville, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.76 - $23.91
