As a Global Key Account Director, Boeing, you will maintain high-level understanding of the Global Boeing business, you will manage key executive level relationships, drive new strategic opportunities, and manage the PPG/Boeing relationship through complex business growth and operational optimization initiatives. You will work with the business platform team to set and execute the long-term strategic growth plans for the Boeing business. You will also lead the market intelligence for Boeing by developing a library focusing on customer trends, competitive activities and progress on key PPG technologies being evaluated by Boeing. You will work with global sales team to ensure progress on key initiatives and that the proper resources are aligned to business goals and objectives set by you to achieve desired growth targets. You will report to the Business Director, ASC Seattle. Key Responsibilities (Boeing)

  • Develop and foster key executive level relationships within Boeing; become the executive liaison between PPG and Boeing.
  • Maintain share with Boeing and capitalize on new technologies as regulatory changes are made and new programs are developed
  • Develop and executed strategic vision to capture share gain and drive growth within Boeing. Lead negotiation efforts on all contracts, including but not limited to Boeing Supply Chain Agreements, Proprietary Information Agreements, Qualification Agreements and General Provision Agreements.
  • Lead the team's response to all Boeing RFI's and RFQ's.
  • Lead and direct the Boeing Account Managers to achieve specific growth initiatives.
  • Drive actions to remove roadblocks from Boeing Account Management Team that might impact achievement of growth targets.
  • Develop new and improve existing specification position within all PPG Platforms.
  • Develop multiple layer contacts within the owner account and contract chain to identify sources of influences vertically throughout our organization.
  • Track the global quality and delivery of all PPG products shipped into Boeing facilities.
  • Communicate all useful project development and contract awards to the commercial team, management and other members of Engineering and Projects organization.
  • Use company market and project tools to both identify new project opportunities and track ongoing opportunities.
  • Participate and keep up to date on industry. (Examples such as involvement in PNAA, AIA, Air Carries Purchasing Conference.)
  • Support and guide the PPG organization to coordinate product testing, new product development and technologies.
  • Leverage PPG as the preferred supplier and align the two businesses for future growth, position advantaged and innovative products providing value and margins.

Additional Responsibilities

Gather customer and broad market intelligence to work with business to develop and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies.

Develop and record the product and dollar sales potential of all accounts and prospects within the territory and uses the recorded information to guide sales efforts to acquire the maximum customer and market reach.

Report and recognize developing price trends by market; analyze the impact on price changes on the business and make the appropriate recommendations.

Develop and maintain multi-tiered personal customer relationships and take steps to improve personal relationships between PPG Aerospace management and customer management.

Develop forecasts for customers and products and advises management of new or changed conditions.

Use experience of technical details of products and recommended application of products following company recommendations or industry standards.
