The Role:

The Facilities Technician is a full-time, onsite, facilities handyperson with some mechanical experience, a can do attitude, good judgement, and people skills. This role will support our supervisors, equipment operators, and production team. This person will ensure sanitation and proper working order of equipment in a food manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do :

  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized facility

  • Ensure grounds and facility conforms to food-grade guidelines

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment

  • Safely operate our facility equipment

  • Perform drywall and paint-related repairs

  • Basic plumbing and electrical work

  • Take personal responsibility to ensure tasks are completed on time and with a high level of accuracy

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Adhere to good manufacturing processes, food safety standards, and related operating procedures

    What We're Looking For:

  • Reliable transportation and a record of excellent attendance is critical

  • Comfortably use various shop tools

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools

  • Ability to take instruction from several sources

  • Current driver's license required with acceptable driving record

  • Ability to adjust to fast-changing priorities

  • Positive, can do attitude

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to obtain certification to operate forklifts and lift equipment (in-house training)

  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA safety rules and regulations

    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, twist, and bend for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Ability to reach, below or above shoulder level for up to two-hour increments with weight between 15 - 25lbs frequently

  • Ability to climb ladders and various plant structures

  • Physically able to work up to 10 hours a day when needed

    Additional Information:

    Salary: $21.50 - $25.50 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
