The Role:

Our fabrication shop is the heart of our operation, housing like-new, cutting-edge machinery and a clean, organized workspace that inspires innovation and efficiency. We are on the hunt for an experienced Machine Operator who is passionate about machining and fabrication to join our dedicated team.

As a key member of our fabrication team, you'll bring your expertise to operate a variety of machinery, including our waterjet, CNC press brake, CNC mill, lathe, sanders, and more. While you may not have experience with every piece of equipment in our shop, your willingness to learn and adapt will be essential as we work on a diverse range of projects requiring precision and creativity.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate a variety of machining and fabrication equipment, ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to specifications.

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and perform basic repairs to keep equipment running smoothly, minimizing downtime.

  • Collaborate with the fabrication and engineering teams to optimize production processes and contribute to project planning and execution.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, upholding our shop’s standards for organization and cleanliness.

  • Continuously learn and develop your skills, including training on new equipment as needed to expand your expertise.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking for:

  • Proven experience as a machine operator, with specific skills in operating one or more of the following: waterjet, CNC press brake, CNC mill, lathe, sanders, etc.

  • A commitment to quality and precision in all aspects of work.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • A proactive attitude towards workplace safety and cleanliness.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and machinery.

    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping

  • Able to move heavy objects under 30-50 lbs. without assistance

  • Will be working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels

  • Regularly possess manual dexterity & perform repetitive tasks

  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced

Additional Information:

Salary: $30-$40 per hour. This is a non-exempt position
