The Role:

The Machine Operator is responsible for multi-tasking while working on the different machines. The initial job will be to work on Equipment with Maintenance and Production. (Sol Pak, Weigh Right manual pouches, Weigh Right bottling and Weigh Right small and large jars.) Work with the crew to package all product, single bags, bottles, casing, and palletizing. Use electric pallet jack to move Finished Goods to Shipping or staging area in the warehouse.

What You'll Do:

  • Turn equipment on/off and be able to monitor and make adjustments on the fly.

  • Work with hanging, sorting, folding and moving 2200# salt totes and storing pallets.

  • Machine fill and label packaged salt totes to the required specifications.

  • Move the completed pallet to Finished Goods area using forklift or electric pallet jack.

  • Ensure all orders are Complete, Accurate, and On Time for the order fulfillment team.

  • Always keep your work area clean and organized (Audit Ready).

  • Assemble, clean and break down equipment at beginning or end of shift.

  • Utilize the following equipment; bag lift, tape sealer, case erector, adjust machines, ink jet printer, sealing machines and scales.

  • Complete tasks on time to maintain the needs of the production schedule

  • Complete paperwork and perform change over from one product to another

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards, and related operational procedures.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • 2-3 years production or manufacturing experience preferred (Food is a plus but not required)

  • Forklift and Electric pallet jack preferred but not required (We will train in house)

  • Basic computer skills (Word & Excel)

  • Manage time efficiently and effectively

  • Demonstrate the willingness and ability to help other teams as needed

  • Must exhibit excellent judgement and pay attention to detail when packaging all products

  • Must be a self-starter and finisher as you may have to work alone at times

  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and adjust to change quickly (Forward Thinking)

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift and stack 35 – 40-pound pallets throughout an 8-hour shift

  • Able to stand, walk, climb stairs and bend for an 8-hour shift

  • Able to work an 8 hour shift M-F and flexible to work on Saturdays as needed

    Additional Information:

    Salary Range: $20-$25 per hour non-exempt
