Winlock Fibre, LLC Production Worker in Winlock, Washington

Responsibilities include removal of waste and debris from offices, buildings, around equipment and from the plant site in general. Necessary tools to do this job include shovels, rakes, pitch forks, brooms, scrapers, and wheelbarrows. It requires the use of conveyers to transport the material by operating start and stop buttons. A safety conscious attitude and awareness is extremely important in the case. The job requires regular lifting of weights up to 100 pounds. The job requires the use of motorized vehicles, including Bobcat, and forklift. These machines require access to a cab, enclosed by either glass or wire mesh and the operation of 3-5 hand controls. The environment in which this job is performed varies widely and includes extreme heights when blowing down rafters in the sawmill buildings, exposure to rain and cold when working outside during the winter, and extremely high noise conditions and dust conditions, requiring the use of hearing protection and safety equipment. Access is varied, but in many cases extremely limited around machinery, sometimes to openings less than 2 feet wide. Many of the areas requiring clean up can only be accessed by stairs, ladders, or inclined ramps. Employee maintains a satisfactory attendance record and follows all rules pertaining to safety and conduct. Employee works overtime and performs other duties as assigned.
