Job Description Summary This position supports plant production operations by covering a wide variety of tasks which require some basic training and direction by the supervisor. These tasks may occur in any area of the plant, or on occasion, may require working in raw product storage or potato fields. Job Description Job Purpose This position supports plant production operations by covering a wide variety of tasks which require some basic training and direction by the supervisor. These tasks may occur in any area of the plant, or on occasion, may require working in raw product storage or potato fields. Job Responsibilities: * Operate simple equipment including powered pallet jack and tote bin dump * Perform the set up and breakdown of tote bins and pallets within the plant * Fill, rake and move tote bins * Properly stack knocked down totes and pallets * Repeatedly lift and stack cases of finished product as assigned * Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area including, but not limited to: sweep, shovel potatoes, rake, vacuum, hose, scrape/scrub, paint, pull vines, shovel snow or sand as directed * Rework damaged or restricted cases and bags of product * Clean, sanitize, and rinse production and packaging equipment during plant clean up * Work on painting projects * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or production lead Basic & Preferred Qualifications Skills and Experience: * Ability to follow safe lifting techniques * Knowledge of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with completing tasks in a safe manner * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Physical Environment/Demands: * Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. * Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature * Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 12 hours per workday to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies * Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures. * Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. * Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
