A week in the life of an Aircraft Integration System Engineer:

  • Support the planning and execution of system integration and test activities to support program milestones.

  • Manages technical, cost, and schedule trade space to support aircraft and sensor integration activities, to include design, production, and sustainment of airborne systems.

  • Ensure proper engineering processes are used and managed to effectively execute technical tasks and products (including technical data bases such as the system design configuration)

  • Operate and maintain laboratory of P-8A hardware used to test, verify, integrate, and troubleshoot systems and associated equipment.

  • Recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques.

  • Analyze architectural and functional requirements, specifications, and interfaces.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or closely related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in DoD acquisition. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting NAVAIR programs

  • Must have an active Top Secret Clearance

  • Have engineering level knowledge of P-8 Mission Systems specifically TOMS, TDS, 1553 bus, Mission Crew Workstations, and EOIR Systems

  • Expertise in specialized C4ISR systems and production management.

  • Experience shall also include systems requirements management, systems engineering design, systems engineering, software tools, and systems engineering processes.

  • This position requires an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize tasks, and complete assigned projects with minimal supervision.

  • Strong technical writing skills

  • Must be able and willing to travel to northern Virginia approximately 10% of the time.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
