Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Whidbey Island, Washington.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • IAM Level II personnel are responsible for the implementation of the information assurance program in accordance with DoDD 5205.07, Special Access Program (SAP) Policy, DoDM 5205.07 SAP Security Manual(s), and the JSIG.

  • Ensure that Cybersecurity related Information Systems are functional and secure within the network environment.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures reflecting the legislative intent of applicable laws and regulations.

  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network system(s) operations.

  • Develop security requirements specific to an IT acquisition for inclusion in procurement documents.

  • Recommend resource allocations required to securely operate and maintain CS requirements.

  • Participate in an IS risk assessment during the A&A process.

  • Develop security requirements for hardware, software, and services acquisitions specific to multiple operating security programs

  • Ensure that IA and IA enabled software, hardware, and firmware complies with appropriate NE security configuration guidelines, policies, and procedures

  • Assist in the gathering and preservation of evidence used in the prosecutions of computer crimes

  • Ensure that NE IS recovery processes are monitored and that CS features and procedures are properly restored

  • Review CS security plans

  • Ensure that all ISSM review items are tracked and reported

  • Identify alternative functional CS security strategies to address security concerns

  • Ensure that CS inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated for the NE

  • Review the selected security safeguards to determine that security concerns identified in the approved plan have been fully addressed

  • Evaluate the presence and adequacy of security measures proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents

  • Provide Cybersecurity training to personnel assigned within the operating environment as part of the annual requirement

  • Advise the ISSM/DAO of any changes affecting the Cybersecurity posture.

  • Assist and advise with physical security assessment

  • Review system audit logs, auditing configuration, and retain in accordance with JSIG auditing requirements

  • Generate and maintain authorization package in conjunction with continuous monitoring as required for the RMF A&A process

  • Support program Assured File Transfers as directed by Program Office

  • Analyze and enforce implementation of IAVM, IAVB. and ISSM directive task

  • Assist GSSO with Annual Self Inspections Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years Experience

  • Must be knowledgeable of the Department of Defense (DoD) information system security compliance and implementation guidance. Specifically, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)

  • DoD 8140/8570 certification for IAM Level II and ability to obtain (CAP, CASP+CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC or CCISO) Security Clearance Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve

  • delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment
