[We are currently seeking a WSMC Response Worker who is responsible for maintaining yearly training and certifications to be ready to respond to an occasional call out to an oil spill response or other marine response projects in the Grays Harbor or Westport area. This is a casual position with a rotating schedule. *This person must live within 20 miles of Westport. • [Oil Spill Response]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
• [Small vessel operations]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
• [Skimmer operations]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
• [Boom and anchor deployment/retrieval]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
• [Skilled equipment operations including, but not limited to, pump operations and hand tools]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
• [Limited maintenance and vessel repair under MSRC direction]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
• [Deployment, retrieval, and processing of sorbent materials]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
• [As opposed to NOT having guaranteed work, applicants for WSMC pool have on-call duties for which they will get paid $30day]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
  • [On-call for week-long periods]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
  • [Must be able to answer the phone and respond to incidents at any hour of the day during the on-call period]{times="" new="" roman""=""}

[FCC Radio Operator License (Global provided)]{times="" new="" roman""=""}

[Initial 24-hour HAZWOPER training if needed (Global provided)]{times="" new="" roman""=""}

[100T/200T Inland-Oceans, AB, or Tankerman License]{times="" new="" roman""=""}

[Ability to leave with very little notice and work five or more days in the case of an oil spill]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
