SUMMARY: Inspect final product to remove defects and foreign materials; erect boxes and insert liners and bags to meet process needs. Seal all finish product bags, verify that seals are intact, bags are not damaged, and ensure that all cases are run through case detector. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. Visually inspect products for defects and foreign materials, seals to ensure they are intact, cases for damage and missing tape. Communicate with coworkers and management regarding defects, inform packaging operator and/or quality technician of foreign material. Maintain adequate production supply so line flow is not interrupted, seal finished cases, advise of any mechanical issues, maintain production requirements. Perform assignments as required, maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, HAZCOM, chemical safety, wear required personal protective equipment, report unsafe conditions/acts to a supervisor, follow all safety rules and regulations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, reach, feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk, hear, taste or smell. Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Frequently lift and/ or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for paperwork, driving and reading specifications, distance vision to drive the forklift, color vision to check product color and identify packaging color differences. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is/or could be exposed to extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, electrical shock, high precarious positions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, all weather conditions, vibrations, and loud noise.
