Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) looking for an enthusiastic career-minded individuals who want to make a difference to join our dynamic team in Wenatchee, WA, supporting the infrastructure of North Central Washington. Under the direction of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3, this journey-level position is a member of the regional maintenance organization. Operating a wide variety of highway equipment and tools, this position is responsible for maintenance of highway longline striping and winter maintenance of highways and highway structures to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and commerce. This position performs a variety of skilled maintenance tasks and may occasionally lead a crew in the absence of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3.
This is an in-training opportunity that offers a career path, hands-on learning, and mentorship and allows you to progress upward through the Highway Maintenance Worker series and achieve the goal class of a Highway Maintenance Worker 2. This opportunity is perfect for someone who loves working with their hands, knowing their work is done on roadways and roadsides in a variety of weather.
