PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world's most extreme environments. PacAero's products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.

 

The Position:

Pacific Aerospace & Electronics, based in Wenatchee, WA, is looking for a Ceramics Lab Technicians to join our team on day shift (Monday through Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm).

 

Ceramics Technicians have two primary functions: manufacture and preparation of ceramic materials (powders) and final inspection of ceramic preforms. Technicians also perform ancillary duties as assigned by the Ceramics Supervisor and/or Ceramics Department Lead.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reprocess used ceramic powders from the Bead Room.
  • Inspect ceramic preforms turned in by Bead Press Operators.
  • Ancillary tasks as requested or assigned by the Ceramic Supervisor and/or Ceramic Lead
  • To manage hazardous materials exposure, Ceramic Lab Technicians work ½ day in the Lab grinding and preparing powders, and ½ day in the office inspecting finished preforms.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have good vision and fine hand control.
  • Candidates with good math skills and Excel experience are preferred.
  • High school diploma or general educational degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Health and Safety Notice

ALL Ceramics Department personnel are tested regularly by blood draw for the presence and levels of hazardous materials, primarily lead. All Ceramics Department personnel must wear the assigned and provided PPE, including but not limited to lab coats, dust masks, and gloves, as and when required.
