Blue Origin LLC Supply Chain Engineer - Levels 2-4 in Wedgwood, Washington

The opportunity supports Valve & Fluid Controls commodities. As part of a hardworking team of diverse Supply Chain Engineers, you will enable and support the application of critical hardware in the design of engines, launch vehicles, in-space projects, and ground equipment. Armed with a deep technical understanding of capabilities in the supply base, you will be the voice of manufacturability to bridge the gap between internal program engineering and Blue Origin\'s critical supplier partners. You will support engineering functions in the design process and procurement functions in supplier award decisions. You will engage with the supply base to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities with the suppliers\' manufacturing systems. Accountabilities include working closely with suppliers to resolve technical issues and developing and sustaining suitable manufacturing processes to satisfy part and program requirements. You will conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk. You will own technical risk identification and mitigation strategies within the supplier\'s manufacturing and quality systems. This includes being the first on-site at the supplier to engage and facilitate failure investigations and RCCA activity as needed. This position is commodity and category focused while strategically positioned with visibility and ownership across all Blue Origin business units and programs. You will leverage this advantage to create and drive continuous improvement actions to standardize engineering definitions, supplier program milestone communications, and technical risk identification and tracking tools. Recovering or maintaining critical schedules and ensuring requirement conformance by mitigating technical obstacles in the supply base will be your primary responsibilities. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university plus relevant experience in a manufacturing environment Level 2 role requirement: 2+ years of related experience Level 3 role requirement: 5+ years of related experience Level 4 role requirement: 8+ years of related experience Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals for design and manufacturing Experience with Fluid System Design, Valve or fluid component experience Experience with Engineering interpretation of technical documentation Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process Has worked with product development teams to define, scope, and prioritize design requirements to ensure operational and manufacturing success Excellent Communication Skills - Ability to articulate technical problems to non-subject matter experts Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers / customers Lean Manufacturing experience Aerospace Experience Experience in Statement of Wor
