As the Senior Technical Avionics Project Manager within this innovative and diverse team in Blue Origin's Lunar Permanence, you will apply your avionics HW expertise, program management knowledge, and leadership skills to drive multiple avionics HW projects involving flight computing, embedded control, networking, and RF communication. You will guide project development schedules, work breakdown, and costs, and coordinate schedules to integrate avionics systems into multiple LP programs, including MK1 and Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD). While this is a technical project management role, it also requires and provides the opportunity for, significant technical contribution, mentorship, and oversight. In addition, you will present status, risks, variances, and recovery plans to Engineering as well as LP leadership. We are looking for the right person to apply their technical experience, organizational expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to engineering to positively impact safe, reusable, and reliable human spaceflight. Responsibilities: Responsible for developing and managing avionics hardware development and new product introduction (NPI) projects. Develop short and long-term avionics HW solutions for reusable spacecraft and spacecraft systems. In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for leading a large, cross-functional engineering teams. Owning and maintaining the schedules Responsible for generating Gantt charts and other material needed to report out timeline and status to management. Generating time/resource estimates for tasks In partnership with the other functions, you'll drive results that meet expectations in terms of budget, schedule, and delivery. You will be expected to execute with some autonomy, guided by established policies and principles of Lean Product Development Interface with internal/external customers to ensure organization resource allocation is made and project goals are accomplished. Interface with internal technical and project teams to provide program status, risks, and technical deliverables. Build and utilize in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience Explain information; develop skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Displays strong ownership and accountability for the outcomes of avionics builds. Establish requirements for the Avionics HW systems.
