Job Title: Employee Development Specialist Duration: 2 Months Location: Seattle, WA Shift Timings: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) Travel between sites, Seattle or Renton as home locations, and travel to others as needed. Summary: We are seeking a skilled Employee Development Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in leading our Employee Involvement process and driving operational excellence through assessments, analysis, and strategic development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations analysis, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: * Leading the Employee Involvement process. * Conduct thorough assessments of processes and practices against established standards and criteria. * Analyze and interpret data derived from assessments and other relevant sources. * Provide actionable feedback based on assessment results to enhance operational efficiencies. * Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to develop effective strategies, plans, and metrics aligned with company initiatives, utilizing Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes. * Implement strategies and plans at the appropriate organizational levels to drive sustainable improvements. * Work independently under general direction while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. * Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate and empower employees on Lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles. * Actively participate in cross-functional teams to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): * Strong customer service skills, communication, and problem-solving skills. * 2+ years of experience in operations analysis. * 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. * 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace * Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). * Willingness and ability to work overtime if needed. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * 3+ years of using Lean methods / Lean Tools. * Experience with project management and self-managing projects. * Ability to work a variable shift as needed for business. * Bachelors degree. Education/ Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
