Fitesa Industrial Electrician in Washougal, Washington

Nature of position

In this role you will perform maintenance, PMs, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate various production, process, and instrumentation controls including building services. You will also identify and implement recommendations to improve equipment and facility performance while assuring proper operation, accuracy, and documentation of equipment and instrumentation. Your role will help to minimize downtime and to meet product and process requirements along the way. You will communicate technical information to others and adhere to all plant safety rules, quality guidelines, and documentation requirements.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical records and prints on plant equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to production, process and building services including a 115KV switch yard.
  • Maintain current calibration of instruments listed in the calibration program.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze root causes of failures to PLCs, drives, AC and DC motors, and all other associated electrical equipment.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, assemble and rebuild equipment, electronic systems, circuit boards, and computerized systems according to blueprints, operating manuals, or repair manuals. This would include pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Make modifications to PLC programs that improve or increase production efforts.
  • Help to plan, organize, and prioritize various maintenance jobs to support production and process equipment during scheduled downs and outages.
  • Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining current calibration of instruments listed in the calibration program.

*Required Skillset and Abilities                                         *

  • Work Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM and be available for overtime and callouts for emergency repairs.
  • Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, and Outlook to name a few.
  • Strong understanding of low voltage controls.
  • Strong understanding of analog controls and PID loops.
  • Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of power transmission systems such as gearboxes, motors, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical prints, symbols, and safe testing methods of electrical systems.
  • Standard industrial physical abilities required.
  • Washington State electrical card.* *

Preferred Skillset and Abilities

  • Experience with PLCs.
  • Experience with servo and inverter drives.
  • Experience with communication networks such as Profibus, Profinet, and or Modbus.
  • 5 years of facility electrical experience or electro-mechanical experience.
