CBRE Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions (IA&R) provides fund accounting, investor reporting and administrative services to real estate investment managers globally. The Investor Reporting Department provides internal and external financial and performance information on funds and assets. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for both periodic and ad hoc financial and investment reporting to investors in private equity funds among other responsibilities listed below . This professional should possess high standards of accuracy, completeness, compliance, and thoroughness in all aspects of reporting. S/he must be able to work effectively and efficiently in an entrepreneurial environment given the array of client and consultant requests. The Sr. Analyst must have a strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts in the private equity fund industry, strong familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


  • Creation and production of monthly/quarterly/annual standard client reports, which include financial reports, Investor NAV Statements and portfolio summaries. The process of creating these reports requires:

  • Setting up production timelines and schedules

  • Coordinating with clients in producing the required report templates using client preferred style guide

  • Coordinating and managing the collection of financial information from Fund Accounting, property narrative information from Investment Portfolio teams, inside and outside the firm, performance returns from the Performance Team, and auditor comments from external Auditors

  • Creating and formatting reports using Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and PowerPoint

  • Performing detailed review for accuracy

  • Reviewing Financial Statements notes disclosures

  • Timely production and distribution of reports or posting to the Investor portal

  • Responsible for sample report creation and maintenance

  • Ensures that departmental processes and procedures are appropriately documented and followed

  • Participate as a strong team member in Yardi software projects to streamline and automate reporting requirements for internal processes and external clients

  • Assist with ad hoc reports, as needed

  • Identify efficiency by evaluating current processes and implement system solution to simplify the process


The successful candidate will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting.CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience and/or training.Experience working at a Big 4 firm preferred.

  • Has experience supervising a team of 5-10 reporting coordinators, accountants, or analysts

  • High level of technical accuracy

  • Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel.Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of additional Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent editing / proofreading skills

  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills, very detailed with good follow through.

  • Ability to obtain the cooperation and involvement of others.

  • Ability to engender trust and establish credibility quickly

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and stringent deadlines in a time pressured environment.

  • Must be able to work overtime when deadlines dictate.
