Providence Claims Insurance Manager *Remote* in Washington

The Risk, Claims & Insurance Department undertakes risk financing activities on behalf of our organization. The risk financing activities include insurance placements and renewals, certificates of insurance, a captive insurance company, purchase of surety bonds, and management of self-insured professional and general liability program.
Providence is calling a Claims Insurance Manager who will:
Be responsible for managing the insurance renewal process through activities that include but are not limited to:
Gathering underwriting and exposure data
Preparing insurance applications
Reviewing insurance proposals
Coordinating and participating in strategy meetings
Reviewing coverage summaries
Obtaining binders and policies
Reviewing insurance invoices
Requesting payments
Assist with third-party risk reviews that includes mergers and acquisitions and insurance language in contracts
Assist with certificates of insurance and surety bonds

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Administration, Finance, Insurance or another related field of study -OR- a combination of equivalent education and work experience
5+ years of experience working with commercial casualty insurance placements and renewals
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation
Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation
Experience with insurance activities in a self-insured health care organization
