This position requires good physical stamina and is labor-intensive. Our General Laborers learn a wide range of new skills and are responsible for a variety of duties around the plant. Supervisors provide our General Laborers training so they will be able to help drive results in the areas most needed which may include packaging, sanitation, raw product storage, and other responsibilities which may change with production needs. This position will provide hands-on experience and exposure across the operations around a plant.This is a great position for someone interested in learning and grow their career in food processing. General Laborers are typically where many team members start before growing their career into packaging utility team members, packaging operators, forklift drivers, and more.Apply today and learn about insurance starting the first day of employment, 3-day weekends every other weekend, matching 401K, tuition reimbursement, quarterly bonus opportunities, and growth opportunities!While performing the duties of this job, the general laborer is regularly required to stand, reach/grasp/bend, and use hands/arms/fingers to operate tools/controls.* Perform assigned duties and learn new skills/responsibilities due to changes in production needs during shift.* Ensure a sanitary and clean work environment for the facility's packaging equipment and surrounding areas.* Follow company policies, procedures, and maintain a safe work environment at all times.* Remove foreign materials and non-standard product from receiving and processing equipment as assigned.* Inspecting bags in packaging area and remove defective bags.* Reworking cased product into totes.Job Qualifications* Must be able to work & train on any shift while maintaining a good attendance record.* Must be willing and able to change positions and duties due to production needs.* Must be able to work in environments with temperature extremes and environments that include humid conditions, including wet, oily, and slippery floors.* Must be able to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (both written and oral).* Must be able to Lift up to 50 lbs.<
