Job Summary: The Order Puller/Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in the production facility, responsible for accurately pulling orders from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This position ensures that customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time, coordinating closely with the production, warehouse, and shipping teams to maintain efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pull products from inventory according to order specifications, ensuring correct item selection and quantities.
- Prepare and pack orders for shipment, including labeling, wrapping, and securing items for transport.
- Create and process shipping documents such as packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and ensure timely delivery.
- Verify and track outgoing shipments, updating records and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
- Assist with receiving and storing incoming shipments as needed.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Perform quality checks to ensure orders meet company standards before shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move products as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in order pulling, shipping, or a related field within a production or warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
