Job Summary

This position is responsible for organizing, planning, and strategizing collaboratively around the engagement of youth and young adults who have experienced homelessness or housing instability.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Provide supervision and oversight to CCEW team members identified as part of the youth outreach services.

Recruitment and engagement of Youth and Young Adults (YYA) ages 12 -- 24 with experience of homelessness, ensuring high-quality youth engagement in the local Youth Action Board (YAB), Anchor Community Initiative (ACI) Core Team and Community Team, and other ACI workgroups.

Coordinate and organize YAB meetings at least monthly, including providing food, snacks and other supplies needed for facilitating and engaging young people in meetings. Communicate concerns from YAB to ACI Team.

Support YYA and the YAB to identify system change ideas for ACI Improvement Team quality data and prepare them for participation in community meetings.

Communicate Collaborate actively with the Outreach Navigators at Blue Mountain Action Council (BMAC) to ensure that all young people being engaged in ACI meetings or work are compensated via the ACI youth stipend fund managed by BMAC.

Collaborate actively across the ACI which includes attending Core Team meetings, ACI Youth & Community Engagement strategy meetings, recurring meetings with AWHWA staff and regular communication with the Walla Walla ACI Coordinator and Community Lead regarding youth engagement and progress toward meeting ACI goals.

Support the facilitation of weekly community-wide By-Name-List case conferencing, which includes coordinating meetings, creating materials, outreaching, and building partnerships across youth-serving entities and tracking outcomes as requested by the ACI Core Team.

Conduct community outreach in service of ACI Core Team goals and the needs within the community.

Other special projects as assigned by the supervisor, and ACI Core Team.

Work collaboratively with the Youth Services Administrator, CCWW Director, Youth Advocate Lead and other identified CCEW staff to develop, implement, and oversee programming for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness.

Provide oversight and management of the youth drop-in center and resource table, including scheduling and programming.

Assure in timely and accurate data collection efforts for youth outreach services in HMIS system and for the ACI Core Team.

Assure compliance with all contract guidelines and statements of work.

Ensure client confidentiality according to Catholic Charities policies and procedures.

Adhere to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.

Perform related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.

Uses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information
