Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) is seeking a creative and talented trade’s person focused on student success who has a strong knowledge background to fulfill the full-time tenure-track role of WeldingInstructoron the Walla Walla Campus.General Responsibilities:WWCC Faculty members are professional educators with the primary responsibility of providing a quality education for all WWCC students. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor, and facilitator of learning. Similar to on-the job training, people in the field do everyday.This position will be responsible for teaching Weldingclasses on the main campus of WWCCEssential Functions:Provide instruction in assigned welding classes to include: Oxyacetylene welding & cutting, shielded metal arc welding, all position; 6011, 6010, 7018 rod, Gas Tungston Arc (TIG), Gas Metal Arc (MIG).Provide instruction in metallurgy, blue print reading, fabrication, layout.Conduct basic welding courses for students in other programs to include stick MIG welding; oxyacetylene cutting & welding; stick welding mild steel; wire feed mild steel; brazing.Provide instruction in stainless steel welding procedures using MIG and TIG.Incorporate current relevant technology into the welding curriculum.Participate in curriculum revision, program management, and research related activities.
