Description Nursing Manager - Emergency Services Unit - Providence St. Mary Medical Center Walla Walla, WA The Manager assists the Director of Emergency Services with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient care services for the Emergency Department at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. The manager provides clinical oversight and support of assigned areas including quality improvement and quality assurance monitoring, provides clinical staff education and staff competency monitoring, supervises staff orientation as developed by the Director, provides follow up with Datix - adverse event monitoring tool, anticipates department staffing needs on a daily basis, edits payroll, regularly performs customer service rounds, and other operational activities as delegated. Shift details: This is a full-time, 1 FTE (40 working hours per week), day shift position Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, from an accredited educational institute, or in process and completed within 3 years of hire into position. Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 3 years of experience in emergency, trauma, or critical care nursing Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or Business ACLS, PALS (must be AHA accredited) upon hire TNCC Instructor status upon hire, or ability to achieve A RN with 20 years of experience will not be required to obtain a BSN. 2 years of experience in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity Why Join Providence?
