Providence St. Joseph Health Pharmacy Technician in Walla Walla, Washington
Description The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). Shift: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Variable Shift Pharmacy Technician Required Qualifications: H.S. Diploma or GED Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training Graduation from a Pharmacy Tech program approved by the WA State Board of Pharmacy. Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) preferred where applicable by role and state Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR) Min: $20.92, Max: $32.00 Associate Pharmacy Technician Required Qualifications: H.S. Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a Pharmacy Tech program approved by the WA State Board of Pharmacy Work experience in a retail pharmacy setting Min: $19.72, Max: $30.17 Senior Pharmacy Technician Required Qualifications: H.S. Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a Pharmacy Tech program approved by the WA State Board of Pharmacy.
