WWC Physicians PC Front Office - Registrar Patient Services Representative in Walla Walla, Washington

The Walla Walla Clinic offers the following benefits:

·         Insurances: Employees consistently working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, hospital confinement, life, disability insurances after satisfying the waiting period.

·         Retirement: Voluntary contributions to the 401k and/or Roth plans after six-month waiting period. The Clinic matches up to 5% of eligible salary after one year of employment and a minimum 1,000 hours of service. A discretionary annual profit-sharing contribution is also available for eligible employees.

·         Time Off Benefit:

Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time and part-time (part-time is prorated) employees will begin accruing upon hire date. Waiting period of 90 days. PTO amounts for 40-hour employees are 23 days (184 hours). Maximum annual carryover of 240 hours.

WA Paid Sick Leave: All employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Waiting period of 90 days. Maximum rollover is 40 hours per year.

Extended Sick Time (EST): Full-time and part-time (part-time is prorated) employees will begin accruing upon hire date. Waiting period of 90 days.  EST hours may be used for illness or injury after an absence of three consecutive working days. WA Paid Sick Leave and/or PTO, if available, will be used during this waiting period. Maximum accumulation of 480 hours.

·         Bonuses: The Clinic typically offers an annual bonus based on hours worked.

Role and Responsibilities:

1.        Register new patients with accurate patient and insurance information and update existing accounts as needed, utilizing special software and procedures.

2.        Greet and assist patients in a friendly, courteous and professional manner and complete in person registrations & schedule as appropriate.

3.        Maneuver multiple specialty systems, online websites and software to find and verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.

4.        Communicate with physicians, nurses, and PSR staff to create an efficient work environment

5.        Train other Patient Services Representatives when necessary

6.        Assist various department receptions with overflow duties of printing and mailing communication to patients, appointment confirmations, processing electronic faxes and documents.

7.        Using electronic health record software, accurately index and file scanned documents and information into patient's electronic medical record.

8.        Process phone calls, accessing unfished phone calls, use a text template, view case list, work case list, create new case and other competencies as required by department.

9.        Protect the confidentiality of patient's personal, financial, and medical information

10.     Fax and/scan confidential patient information.

11.     Other duties as assigned by the department manager, reception lead, or physicians
