WALLA WALLA COMMUNITY COLLEGE Computer Science Programming Instructor (Adjunct) in WALLA WALLA, Washington

 

Walla Walla Community College is accepting applications to fill the part-time role of Computer Science Instructor on the Walla Walla Campus.

 

The start date is at the beginning of the Spring quarter in September 2024.  Spring quarter classes include CS& 131 -- Computer Science I C++ (5 credits) and/or CS 133 -- Computer Science I C# (5 credits). Other opportunities in 2024-2025 school year include teaching languages in: Python, Visual Studio.NET core (ASP.NET) as well as C#, and C++.

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear explanations, assignments and directions for students with a varied degree of abilities.
  • Utilize best practices when implementing technology in the
  • Assign and submit grades and maintain student
  • Administer frequent assessments, both formative and
  • Provide students with a comprehensive syllabus that aligns with the Master Course Outline for each class.
  • Maintain one regularly scheduled office hour per week.
  • Adhere to the six Instructional Competencies (outlined below).
  • Work in partnership with the computer science department faculty and staff and attend regular team meetings as available.
