Banfield Pet Hospital Worker's Compensation Coordinator in Vancouver, Washington

Summary and Qualifications:
Assist the Worker’s Compensation (WC) team in various tasks related to receiving and processing basic WC claim files.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
Maintain and record transactions and communications.
Enter all First Aid Only Worker’s Comp and General Liability claims.
Perform data entry into STARS for all Worker’s Comp claims as assigned.
Sort and distribute all incoming insurance faxes by region.
Assist the Worker’s Comp team with claims case load from beginning to end, ensuring all Workers Comp claim files are closed.
Open, scan and electronically file all incoming Insurance team mail.
Distribute monthly hospital list updates sent to vendors.
Administer the distribution of all state required insurance postings.
Create and continuously update an Excel tracking spreadsheet for state required insurance postings.
Assist in the completion and distribution of all Practice Hospital OSHA logs.
Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

Experience, Education and/or Training:
Associates degree in General Business is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
One years of relevant office experience is required.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills are required.
Fundamental knowledge of worker’s compensation concepts is preferred.
