Job Title: Welder/Fitter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter experienced in structural fitting and welding. This role involves using 1/16th dual shield and utilizing blueprints and structural drawings to layout and fit steel. The position will be working on an airport project and requires welders/fitters with experience adhering to D1.1 standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural fitting and welding using 1/16th dual shield.

• Utilize blueprints and structural drawings to layout and fit steel components.

• Work on structural infrastructure projects, specifically an airport project.

• Adhere to AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in welding and fitting structural steel.

• Experience with structural infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings.

• Proficiency in flux core and dual shield welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in structural welding or fitting.

Work Environment

The work will be conducted in a shop located in Vancouver, which supports local Vancouver/Portland projects as well as field projects. The shop fabricates all steel structural components required for various projects. The environment is supportive and geared towards high standards of safety and quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VANCOUVER, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00
