Description Title: Warehouse Supervisor Department: Warehouse Status: Full Time Reports To: Warehouse Manager Updated: July 2024 Salary Range - $68,000 - $75,000 DOE General Description: The warehouse supervisor is a mid-management position that oversees our day production workers, forklift operators, breakage staff, custodial staff and other day warehouse staff and equipment. They report directly to the Warehouse Manager, who reports to the Senior Vice president of Operations. This role often advances to Warehouse Manager, or some other higher level of management Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Motivate, organize, and participate with HR in staff discipline and corrective actions. Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of warehouse goods Inspect, maintain, and manage warehouse equipment and vehicles Keep detailed records of warehouse activities Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment Ensure safety of staff Supervise all day warehouse's activities while working to maximize efficiency and minimize staff overtime Collaborate with the Manager to implement procedures and adjust policies as need to ensure safe, efficient operations Analyze data to increase productivity and aid in loss prevention Oversee receiving, put away, inventory control, and general warehousing and distribution operations Collaborate with the Manager to Implement operational policies and procedures as needed Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform Duties: Must be 18 years or older Must pass drug test, background check, and pre-employment agility test prior to employment. High School Diploma or GED certificate. Leadership, decision making, and problem-solving skills Organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to lift to 50 lbs. regularly Interpersonal and communication skills Basic math and computer skills Two years previous experience managing employees Knowledge of inventory and warehouses practices Other Factors/ Physical Requirements: 1) Hand Tools Used: Handheld devices 2) Machines Used: Powered lifting equipment 3) Working Conditions/Environmental Factors: Indoors 4) How often can worker change positions?
