Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.  

 

We are looking for a Warehouse Juice Shipping Clerk to be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the shipping department which includes scheduling pick up appointments for over the road (OTR) and intermodal (IM) shipments and managing the order process and movement of equipment for rail shipments.  This role will be responsible for providing the necessary documents for order picking to the dock drivers, accurately processes shipments in the ERP system and creates or secures shipping documents associated with each order at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manages daily pick appointment schedule and arranges plant coordinated shipments with assigned carriers.
  • Communicates all inbound deliveries to the appropriate departments for retrieval and coordinates and directs company vehicles for internal movements.
  • Monitor email communications and respond to requests in a timely fashion.
  • Creates pick plans using company ERP system for shipping team.
  • Coordinates the running of pick plans and determines picking locations for orders based on outside storage specifications and system set-aside.

Requirements:* *

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, some college level work preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the position.
  • At least one year of related warehouse shipping experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in operating a computer and manufacturing related software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word; good knowledge of PeopleSoft (ERP) shipping and inventory modules.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.

Compensation:

The wage range is $18.50 - $22, based on experience and qualifications.
