PURPOSE: The Vice President of Information Technology leads the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Information Security, Network, Support and Infrastructure functional areas. Responsible for mentoring and developing the team, aligning technology initiatives with the strategies of the credit union, while driving operational efficiency and growth through innovation. This role champions innovation in network architecture, cybersecurity, end user support and infrastructure management, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability to support the growth and technological initiatives; ensuring that technological advancements align the Credit Union's strategic goals and plans. Essential Duties: Lead the day-to-day operations and future growth of Information Security, Support and Network Infrastructure teams with continued leadership and mentorship. Establish strategies and collaborate with IT leaders to set operational goals, ongoing performance and support standards, department budgets, and long-term plans. Ensure all functions are optimized for member and staff service, system performance, security, and continued scalability. Partner with the Chief Technology Officer in long-term strategic planning, execution, and oversight of initiatives that support the Credit Union's operational goals and the ongoing effort to simplify banking. Evaluate emerging technologies critically, ensuring adoption aligns with strategic objectives and delivers tangible value without deviating from established plans. Lead initiatives to streamline day-to-day operations by enhancing workflow management systems, reducing recurring support issues through automation, and expanding self-service capabilities for staff. Partner with technical leaders on continuous improvement of documentation standards and ongoing change control. Hire, coach, evaluate, and take appropriate corrective action with department staff. Ensure employees are fully trained and cross-trained across key areas, particularly in cybersecurity and cloud technologies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring that team efforts align with the Credit Union's overarching goals of simplifying banking for members and staff. Lead by example in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, and staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies. Use appropriate project management tools and frameworks to oversee the planning, installation, and testing of new infrastructure, hardware, and software. Ensure cross-departmental collaboration to optimize resources, streamline project timelines, and ensure that projects are conducted efficiently and accurately. Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system uptime, incident response times, reduction in support tickets, successful completion of cloud migration milestones, and team development metrics. Partner with technical leaders on continuous improvement of documentation standards and ongoing change control. Lead the Information Security strategy and program surrounding the Credit Union's data, networks, and systems.
