Collaborate and lead in-house civil/transportation engineers, landscape architects, water resource engineers to develop innovative solutions for projects of all sizes and complexities. What you'll do:
- Provide managerial guidance at a regional level, inspiring the structures team to ensure that the firm's vision and mission are achieved through planning and by setting appropriate milestones and benchmarks.
- Partner with our marketing and business development team to position for and prepare winning professional proposals and actively participate in interview preparation and go/no-go decision meetings.
- Manage and lead structural designers/technicians in the development of plans and calculations for a wide variety of structures (bridges, retaining walls, site structures, buildings, etc.).
- Perform design services matching local, state, and federal design standards.
- Prepare and lead the preparation of construction plans using CADD software as required per work order.
- Lead and prepare specifications and cost estimates and provide construction support services.
- Participate in business development including nurturing existing and forging new client relationships.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalency in direct field of experience) or related area, including Business and Finance.
- 15+ years of related experience directly managing capital projects from design through construction and/or closeout.
- Oregon and Washington Professional Engineering License required, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Demonstrated previous experience in the management of personnel, project budgets, and team financials and engineering delivery.
- Experience in the review and negotiation of agreements and contracts.
- A customer-oriented seller-doer who understands how to sell Otak's services, grow the business, and deliver high-quality work.
- A desire for Business Unit or Practice Area leadership.
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and work location as well as market and business considerations. Salary Range: $135,000 - $170,000 per year
