Banfield Pet Hospital Sr. Analyst, Purchasing in Vancouver, Washington

Summary and Qualifications:

As a member of COE, the Sr. Analyst will serve a key role as the Commercial business partner for all MVVT Commercial system initiatives providing inputs in design and systems integration expertise.

The Sr. Analyst will drive Commercial strategic initiatives between Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) and business units, while collaborating with various functions to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of process and technology.

The Sr. Analyst will provide systems direction identifying objectives and coordinating cross functional team and cross business unit Commercial team’s efforts.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.

  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, monitoring progress and results, and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.

  • Develop, support and maintain Coupa procurement platform, help enable suppliers within our Coupa procurement system for ordering and invoicing and help us streamline the procurement process with end-to-end business automation.

  • Plan, coordinate, implement inventory and other procurement projects according to the specifications.

  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by managing project scope, determining daily priorities and ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones.

  • Act as key Coupa procurement system SME to help bring other MVVT BUs on board.

  • Educate end users in the requisition, purchase order creation, invoicing process, receiving, inventory control, supply chain, etc.

  • Support and maintain current ordering system (Coupa/BanfieldDirect), strategic sourcing platform (ARIBA) and inventory solution.

  • Act as a liaison with all our key strategic suppliers in coordinating projects related to our systems.

  • Develop effective communication with outside vendors, CTS associates, field leadership and hospital associates.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.

  • Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.

  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.

  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Supply Chain is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Seven or more years of experience in Finance and/or Supply Chain is required.

  • Five or more years of work experience in Coupa Procurement, Receiving, and Inventory/Supply Chain is required along with knowledge of Azure, SQL, Power BI or similar report writing technology.

  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish by involving all the key stakeholders, managing timelines and getting help when and where needed is required.

  • Prior experience with Inventory, Oracle Accounts Payable and ARIBA is preferred.
