This is a position with global grade 13 This position reports to Field Service Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}. You will be mainly accountable for: *Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations. *Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. *Taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams. *Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities. Qualifications for the role Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 additional years of related engineering / field experience). Minimum of 5 years of field engineering experience. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% as required. Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license. ABB will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area Technical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers (OEM equipment such as Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays). Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines (including excitation systems), controls systems and Programmable Logic controllers a plus. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
