SCOPE OF POSITION:

Onboard continues its evolution from a small family-run player to a midsized global leader, but in doing so will not lose sight of the very high Quality standards that must be met on each and every part that is shipped from our facility. In support of this, we will hire a Quality Inspector to support the growing operation. The hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm

 

As a Quality Inspector, you will perform dimensional inspections on machined and assembled parts at various stages of the production process, utilizing hand inspection measuring tools, and, the coordinate measuring machines (CMM), if you have prior experience. You will perform receiving inspection of bolts, fasteners and various products.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Use tools such as calipers and other measuring instruments to perform QC inspections.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the production process.

Requirements:

  • *3+ *years relevant working experience as a quality inspector
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, planning and procedures in English and have a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with inspection measuring tools including: surface plate setups, height gages, micrometers, indicators, calipers, surface roughness testers, hardness tester, pin & thread gages; coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and/or GD&T training desired.
  • Reasonable computer skills.
  • Previous work experience in aerospace complying with AS9100 or ISO9001requirements preferred.
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 preferred
  • BONUS SKILL SET - Level I or II non-destructive certified in MT & PT (dye-penetrant & magnetic particle). Aerospace NAS 410 certification preferred. Proof of training and certificates will be required.
