LOCATION: 312 SE Stonemill Road, Building A, Suite 145, Vancouver, WA 98684 JOB TITLE: Project Manager DUTIES: Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and quality of assigned projects in planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure phase of substation engineering projects. Manage and capture client facility plans and target client opportunities. Manage substation engineering project team financials and report findings to leadership. Direct client maintenance and development activities as well as Quality Control processes. Identify and oversee implementation of effective change management practices and corrective actions. Perform electrical engineering for substation design, including proficiency in codes, standards and industry practice for protection and control systems. Provide oversight and quality control in development of internal and client standards, technical specifications, design guidelines, and manuals for design procedures, substation materials, and construction. Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations. Provide overall management of projects from concept to completion. Serve as primary point of contact with client regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support, and schedule attainment. Ensure the Project Team is adhering to office Quality Control procedures. Work closely with the Project Team to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to clients satisfaction. Travel to unanticipated locations up to 20% for substation site visits. REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of electric utility consulting experience. Professional Engineering (PE) registration required. Must have at least three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): *Managing substation engineering projects at various voltage levels ranging from 480V to 500kV *Experience in protection and control design *Electrical analysis and design for electrical substations, including proficiency in applicable codes, standards, and industry practices *Quantity estimation for construction bid preparation of electrical substation projects, including materials procurement and management *Field engineering, including site visits related to electrical observations *Using various modeling software, including SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, and vendor specific relay configuration software *Managing various discipline technical teams (civil, structural, physical and control) of varying sizes to confirm high-level designs meet client scoping requirements *Outage coordination and testing sequencing to allow projects to be constructed and placed into service. Will accept a Master’s degree plus six (6) years of electric utility consulting experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree plus seven (7) years of experience.
