Clark County Program Coordinator II - Infection Prevention - Public Health [hybrid-remote] in Vancouver, Washington

Job Summary Program Coordinator II positions coordinate and manage programs of limited scope to major impact within established timelines and budget to meet goals. Incumbents ensure delivery of results, monitor progress and direct activities to include: planning, monitoring, allocating, adjusting, controlling, preserving, and evaluating area of responsibility within a County department, section, unit or division. Specific duties vary based on department of assignment and range of responsibilities. We are looking for someone with skills in/including: * Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention practices, HAI, antimicrobial resistance, and public health. * Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal, State and Regional requirements. * Demonstrated skills in public health principles, core function and essential services. * Strong background using science and data to make decisions and implement public health services. * Work in an environment with individuals who may have diverging opinions and viewpoints. * Able to recognize and challenge discrimination and other myths in working across the department and throughout the county. * Apply understanding and knowledge of cultural differences and similarities when working with diverse populations. Qualifications Education and Experience: *Bachelor’s degree nursing or public health, health administration, health sciences. *Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) required within 2 years of hire. *Three (3) or more years of infection prevention, epidemiology, or infectious disease surveillance experience. Preferred Qualifications: *Experience in a public health setting as well as a background in public health nursing, microbiology and/or epidemiology and experience in surveillance system design and evaluation are strongly desired. *Master’s Degree in nursing or public health. *Research and basic statistical knowledge. *A Member of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) or the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA).
